We look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office. During this time, we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment. We understand that each patient's orthodontic treatment is different, and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve.
The Initial Examination appointment will take approximately 60 minutes. We will take complimentary diagnostic photographs and complete a detailed history form with you. Dr. Stieber will examine your teeth, mouth and profile. We will then give you a report on the following:
- If an orthodontic problem exists
- The best treatment to correct the problem
- The estimated length of treatment time
- The best time to begin treatment
- The cost of treatment/financial arrangements
If treatment is indicated, Dr. Stieber will recommend taking diagnostic records. Diagnostic Records consist of x-rays, photographs and impressions of the teeth for plaster models. It may be possible to have these done the same day. A Consultation appointment will be held after Dr. Stieber reviews the diagnostic records. It is important that a parent or guardian be present if the appointment is for a minor. Dr. Stieber will explain the treatment plan and your braces may be placed the same day as the consultation appointment if desired.
The Initial Exam is complimentary. If you have orthodontic insurance, please bring your insurance card with you. We would be more than happy to help investigate your insurance coverage with you.
